Our Music in the Forest experience is a one-off session available to all schools with outdoor / forest school facilities. The upbeat music in the forest theme song will leave your toes tapping and inspire budding guitarists to join in using simple chords. This highly interactive session explores the science of sound, 'high' and 'low' through experimentation with string and buckets and provides plenty of opportunity to explore and develop the singing voice. Rhythm and beat is reinforced throughout and children will love to play our tapping woodpeckers as we discover three reasons why he taps the tree!
The dynamics of sound are explored as we collect objects from the forest environment as well as crafting a simple percussion instrument to accompany the singing. This session is packed with educational meat and will provide a rich and holistic contribution to musical development whilst supporting many other areas of the curriculum in an outdoor setting.
£60 for one hour session. £110 for a two hour session. (Travel expenses may need to be charged for bookings further afield.)
